Chartered in 1997 by a group of local fathers goal of establishing a Boy Scout troop for their children with the ideals and customs of Islam, The Muslim Scouts of Michigan was the first Muslim Boy Scout group in the United States. More than 20 years and thousands of scouts later, the group continues to teach principles of the Scout Oath and Scout Law, along with teachings of The Holy Quran, Into the daily lives of our scouts.
Scouts that graduate our program are leaders within the community. They learn to hold themselves to a higher regard. This has been proven time and time again by many. Doctors, Lawyers, Educators, Politicians and more! A Scout who enters the Muslim Scouts of Michigan gains the skills set fourth in the Scout Law; Being trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.
